Too Faced

An Instagram-worthy garden-themed retail pop-up

As a trendsetting, cruelty-free makeup brand, Too Faced wanted to create an immersive and Instagram-worthy shopping experience for Sephora customers to boost brand awareness, encourage product discovery, and drive sales.

Our task? Design and build (8) month-long retail pop-up activations at select Sephora flagship locations throughout Canada that perfectly aligned with Too Faced's playful brand identity and business objectives.

Taking inspiration from a whimsical garden, the pop-ups featured lush greenery, pink floral arrangements, and oversized garden-inspired elements that immediately capture the attention of Sephora shoppers. 

As customers wandered through the space, winding paths decorated with pink hearts and topiary bunnies directed them to find Too Faced's best-selling products displayed on customized garden fixtures - each strategically narrating the product discovery experience. From the Better-Than-Sex Mascara niche to the 3-tier Born This Way Foundation fountain and the Lip-Plumping urn station (which showcased the brand’s iconic 3D lips!), every element was designed to engage customers and encourage them to try a new product.

The result? A highly successful, visually striking pop-up that seamlessly blended experiential marketing and visual merchandising in a fun retail environment. The Too Faced Garden provided a memorable shopping experience that engaged new customers, generated social media buzz, and drove significant sales for the brand.

This retail activation serves as a prime example of how brands can use pop-ups to tell stories and offer an unforgettable and fun experience in-person at retail, increasing both sales and awareness.
